HARI RAYA!!! HARI RAYA!!! HARI RAYA!!! WHOOPIEDOODAA!!! Daddio gave me T-W-O H-U-N-D-R-E-D smackeroos, baybee. Well, gee, i HAVE been pretty darn good this year, yo!
Contrary to the previous years when my mom would cook Beef Rendang, Beryani Rice and a whole load of other stuff, this year is just Soup Tulang (Mutton Bone Soup except tt the soup aint really soup, it's delish curry!). Those who have eaten at the very famous and much talked about Soup tulang stalls at Beach Road, you know what i'm talking about.And my fave part of the tulang-eating is sucking out the bone marrow. Oooooooh!
My cousins and all came and gone, of course, HOARDS of kids. My cousins are now all getting married and having kids. I'd have to fish out tons of cash by the time i'm working. pfuit. at this rate, ill take a vacation everytime hari raya comes. Good thing about the kids- they know my room is jolly well out of bounds. So, yeah, it was fun and all, meeting everybody, cleaning up, washing up and getting tired. Part of lurvin

Oh... and due to the obvious lack of good shows on telly today, dad fished out his entire collection of Bollywood Hindustan DVDs. I swear, I am NOT a fan of Bollywood, at all. Same old shit over and over and over and over again. But it got me again this time. ALWAYS get me during hari raya. Just the songs though. The colourful costumes, the dances... and the men. :D Mind you, Hindustan movies are not like Tamil movies where the men are all fat and ugly. I swear, the directors DON't know what they're doing there. But Hindustan movies, the guys are pretty good lookin. *Smiles sheepishly*
Well, we're going visitng tmr. Don't like what I'm gonna wear tmr though, even though it's purple. A short kebaya my mom bought for me. Apparently she paid
a pretty hefty sum for it. Seriously, i don't see the point. I don't like baju kurung or kebaya anyway. i prefer punjabi suits or dresses. Waaay nicer. And i'm not malay anyway, so why bother wearing something that belongs to the malay culture when i'm indian. But anyway, to make dear ole momsie happy, ill wear it...and for dad too, since he paid for it. i'll take pics and post it online okie doks?
ive to start figuring out which bag to use tmr and how to wear my make up and iron my clothes, so later! And for those who msged or tagged me a selamat hari raya,
