For the Love of God Book Launch(both days incl.)
Last Day of Year 1
Last night was a perfect night to end an amazing year in mass comm. The official launch for a creative anthology by a mass comm year 3 elective, Book Publishing called For the Love of God and the launch of the audio book One for the Love of God where poems from the book have been appropirated into songs by none other than my darling, the bee-you-tea-fool V-baybee! Oh, Kon was in a suit. To quote Di, he looks like a "cute teddybear". Really. haha.
Initial plans cancelled due to unexpected circumstances (& a bloody rehearsal for some children's drama shit i'm emcee-ing for), met Gent, Harlie, James, Rachie, YJ & Josh at Nokia Ctr at Cinileisure (sp?), then after an entire eternity of useless waiting, and trying to make decisions, we took a bus down to Raffles City where we hung out at BK and they all poked fun at poor ole' YJ.
6+, Hatta & Dinesh joined us and we headed off to the Art Museum. Thank God we came early coz I didnt want to be those standing for the entire 2 hours. Anyhow, Nirmala- Kon's legendary teacher from Uni was sitting beside me & i didnt even knw it till he introduced her to all of us.
V 'belt[ed] out her songs' (as Kon mentioned to me in an email) and sounded amazing, as usual. Singapore's just deaf, lah ah... Urban Xchange's gonna make it big with her voice. And i'll be her personal assistant w a starting pay of 5K. hahaha... Anyhow, she looks GREAT- and so did I (heh! check out the pics).
After th launch, took pics with Kon, hung around for a bit, then went off with Dinesh, Hatta, Alisa & crew. Wandered aimlessly, first to Kopitiam at Plaza by the Park, then to CHIJMES, then in the end, we went to BK.
Poked fun at Alisa, her ugly turtle toy & her burnt bacon. We've renamed the pig on her phone to Ba kwa (how ever u spell that) from bacon. Headed home & met Dopey on the train (up till today i still dun know his name. his friends call him do or dopey, so i just follow)who was from Sentosa and walked home together since he lives a couple of blocks from me.
Pretty cool night. Going for the second launch tonight at Tango's Wine Bar at Holland with Jessai. Can't wait. I think more people will be there though. Will take moooore pics tonightomundo, but in the meantime, click on the links above this entry for pics of my last day as a freshie with my dearest class. And of course, last night rendevous. Cheers!
