My stupid imagehosting shit is down again. Ah, screw that. I think Imma change my template to something imageless, to make life easier.

Anyway, when I came home today, I was so muthafucken tired it's not even funny. I am still enjoying my internship at Catalog, however. And honestly, I'd take work over school anytime.

Anyhow, I have had the most awesome two days. On Wed, me & Marilyn went shopping [yes, yet again] in town. [btw, i not only know town by the back of my hand, I can name you stores at the snap of my fingers!] Were supposed to find Xmas gift ideas stuffus and my fave items out of the goddamned whole bunch that we borrowed were:

It's Popeye!

The doll's boobs jiggle! I think it's fucken hilarious!

Then in the midst of it all, while Marilyn was off to Eclectic Attic at Centrepoint [where she loaned a muthafucken 530-dollar vintage charm bracelet!], I was a VIP at HMV Heeren. Woot!

Haha... if you've seen copies of Catalog, you've prolly seen this page where we take street shots of interestingly dressed people. The problem is, you can hardly find much interestingly dressed/good looking people in town at 1 in the afternoon on a wednesday.

So after that, we went to Paragon [Urban & Co.], Far East [where we died looking for men cordurouy pants, men's pullovers, three-quarts & ballet pumps & where I got Jesse a pair of purplish-pink gemstone-like ear studs. Remind me to give em to you!] and to Wisma [Tannlines].

Took a cab back to the office, reached there about 1730 and while Phin took a smoke, he reviewed the questions that I emailed him for the Vagina Monologues interview that same evening. I had to do more research and come up with a few more questions for the 20-min interview.

I then took a cab down to The Arts Hawse [ok, House] beside the Victoria Theatre and found the three actors sitting outside, enjoying their dinner. I braced myself, plucked up all the courage I have always have had and went, "Hi, I'm from Catalog Magazine. I'm supposed to interview you at 7 today?"

OH MY GOD. I love Anita Kapoor. She's one of the three acting, she's the editor of SG's Harper's Bazaar, she won the Discovery Channel Search for a Host, she's intelligent and funny and a feminist. I love her. I want to be just like her one day. It's fucken inspiring.

The interview was kickass. While Anita was giving inspiring, intelligent answers, Nora Samosir, the other actress was damn funny and she's LOUD for someone her age. And Cynthia Lee [aka Channel i's/u's Ah Girl]. tsk, tsk. She was the bimbo of the lot.

I cabbed back home, had dinner and all and got out again at about 9, picked Mainee up from her place and went down to the bar next to the Arts House for the preview which was really fucken cool. They each did like 1 monologue and while Nora's was boisterous and hilarious, Anita's was in-your-face and funny, Cynthia just lacked the spunk. Even Phin [who does alot of theatre as well] says he's baffled to why she got the part]

Went home & did the transcript, which was a killer, since you have no idea how much 2 women can talk for within a span of 20 minutes. [2 because Cynthia's answers ranged from 'No comments' to 'Pizza' [her dinner] almost three-quarts of the time]

Look out for the interview with the cast of the first ever all-Singaporean cast of The Vagina Monologues in the next issue of Catalog, coming out sometime next week!

The Play Den, in the Arts House where we're gonna watch the monologue, apparently was the prison of the place and while I was there, I went up and true enough, there wasn't reception because of the lead that was insulating the walls. Fucking spooky, I tell you.

So today, I kept awake after breakfast at dawn [aka Sahur] to finish up the transcript. And I was talking to Vee online who was lamenting that she had to go to the studios today.

Fuzzy Bum Bum says:
Where's your studio?

Banessa says:
Amoy St

Fuzzy Bum Bum says:
EH FUCK. that's where my office is!

Banessa says:
really?!

Fuzzy Bum Bum says:
Yeah, where exactly's yours?

Banessa says:
Next to Killeney Kopitiam, right at the end

Fuzzy Bum Bum says:
FUCK. mine's also next to Killeney [who has a kickass kaya toast, btw], on top of Personality salon [yes, we're surrounded by stupid names]

Banessa says:
You're fucking kidding me.

Fuzzy Bum Bum says:
no

Banessa says:
We can see each other!

Fuzzy Bum Bum says:
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

Sad deprived us. I did meet her, btw. And she said I looked like how she looks when she's in school: like Death run over twice. tsk. tenzt. it's the little sleep effect.

But before I went to the office, I went down to Citylink for the launch of FCUK's Autumn/Winter collection. Was hosted by Sheikh Heikal [who's manager was sitting next to me] and I don't exactly like his style of hosting, saw fashion eds from Cleo, Elle, Female, Harper's Bazaar. Woot! I'll be up there some day too, baybee! So anyway, don't mind the following phicktoours, the models were moving too much.

This skirt was the most gorgeous- black chiffon layer on top of a satin fushia skirt with black sequins and beaded details on it. Phwoar!

loooove the top! model also damn hot.

I like the colour contrasts on the top. Nice.

So then I went back to the office, where Diana [who's in charge of admin, I think. And she's the only one who's always in the office!] was having a tug-of-war with a piece of tandoori chicken, armed with a plastic spoon and Phin was having a meeting with the ad people.

I spent the whole day researching and reviewing make up. Oh, but then I had to make a delivery [of course they make the intern do it] to the photographer's studio-cum-loft and I experienced the worst muthafucken cabbie ever. He asked me a whole muthafucken series of questions about my ethnicity and whether I'm a mix of this-and-this and whether I can speak this-and-this. Stupid muthafucker. Then he asked about my job, and about why I was travelling around and when I got a phone call he was literally and blatantly eavesdropping!!! Stupid muthafucker!

And guess who submitted a complain to Comfort cabs?! HAH. Stupid phucks.

Anyhow, tomorrow's Catalog's Halloween partay. Invitation only, and I'll be giving out lingerie sets to the male population. Most of them are gays anyway, but the point was to get the men to take off their tops, put on the bras [without clasping it] and model it fro the camera. The most deserving will win the bra sets for his girlfriend.

I'm still baffled by how they're gonna give it to their girlfriends coz three-quarts of them are gay anyway.

And I'm gonna be a fairy! Woohoo! Beware- the Fashion-critic-wannabe Fairy from the Far East, baybee!
