I am so tired. We've been at the designer's for two days straight now and it's pretty stupid for him to take ages for the layout because we're a magazine and our magazine is like a template. It's the same thing every month. All he has to do is just do a tad bit of photoshop and plonk everything down. I think Gent, Dan or Char can do all of that faster.

D'oh.

Phin's looking for students who wanna earn some moolah to do some basic design work. Text me if you're interested, aight?

Marilyn's sick today, on her second last day, so I'm all alone.



Ok, not exactly alone, but yeah.



Had an interesting evening yesterday. Phin was supposed to treat Marilyn & me to dinner, but he was late so Marilyn left or Boat Quay. Broke my fast at Simply Thai at Holland with Jeremy [who was and still is, tired, sick and dying] and surprise, surprise, Phin came and join us. He was raving and going on and on about the Brazillian model during the cover shoot earlier in the day. Funny shit.



[Btw Marilyn, he offered to pay for our food but we declined coz you weren't there. Aren't we tha bomb]



Then we went to Tango's where Phin downed seven hundred thousand margaritas. He was telling me about the industry and stuff like that when Denise Tan [aka ex-Power 98 DJ] who's a good friend of Phin's joined us. They're hilarious put together. Drama Mamas.



And then they got amused entertaining themselves with me. I.e.:

"Eh, she was seven years old when Jagged Little Pill came out!"

"She wasn't even born when [insertweirdassnamehere] sang [insertweirdasssongtitle]"

"She was two! TWO! TWO! When [insertanothersongtitlehere] came out!"



That was interesting.



Then about three more of his friends, also industry people, also mass comm graduates of 6, 7 years ago and they did the above thing again.



Then his three friends left for Walla's and Denise showed us her bad with a hook on thinggie that sounds like a cow bell. Then Denise asked me where I wanted to do my degree. And I told them. Then they started talking about whachamacallit, and Denise is really really really nice.



Then when Denise left, Phin started talking about what's gonna happen till Dec.



Then he asked about why I wanted to study Women's Studies.



And we went into a lengthy conversation [with Jeremy keeping silent] about God, about religious scriptures, about agenda setting themes, about feminism, about gender politics, about the fucked up media, about a whole load of things.



And when I got home, I realised I have been longing for a conversation like that for so long.



I have started to ask questions again.
