chardonay spills.

This entry is one for the books. I haven't blogged for a week - now that's something.

It's not as though my usually-very-bizarre life has lost its bling and has parachuted itself down to mortaldom, I've just been too bored of technology.

It cramps my style too much, no? Tsk. You know how those stupid female magazines will ask celebrities what they'd bring if they ever get shipwrecked and land on a deserted island? Well, I'd bring a truckload of chapstick, another truckload of my trusty Daintree's Tropical Sugarcane Moisturizing Body Whip, a Trixie [a stray my cousin's friend picked up that's now Jeremy's kitty and my foster kitty. Or the kitty's nanny], a pen and my purple notebook that would probably never run out of pages.

The only form of technology I'd need is a tv set so I don't miss out on Desperate Housewives, The Amazing Race, the OC and Smallville episodes.

Then again the chances of me getting shipwrecked are very very low since I see no point in taking cruises to nowhere when it'd cost just as much to fly yourself to the New York or Long Beach on some chinkified cheapo airlines. You'd have to bear with terrible airline food, but I suspect the sacrifice would be worth it.

Speaking of wanderlust, I've been to Thailand, shopped my ass off amongst the flith, the Tuktuks and the Pad Thais for about four days. Bloody good fun to get the out of the country, but being a stickler for cleanliness, I couldn't fucking stand it. The sacrifice wasn't worth it this time, even though it was for shopping. I'd be better off slathering a ton of SPF700 sunblock on myself while gawking at the bare-bodied men with fucking hot European accents that seem to flock Langkawi's chalet-like beach resorts at the same price.

Work has been great, as per usual. I've been writing more than ever, styling even more, going to fuckloads of events, meeting tons of potential clients, employers and whatthehellnots.

I also did meet up with the people who actually mattered from my secondary school. It was interesting, but I can't say I had fun, in fact, after more than a year since we actually met up, I actually felt... how do I phrase that feeling correctly... out of place.

In fact, when Sera and Weifang turned up at Borders, I was actually relieved. Sad, I know. But I think it has something to do with my knack of leaving the past behind. It's nice to have occasional fleeting memories and while you grow from it, the past is just best left behind. Sometimes, it becomes too much of a chore to carry it along.

In any case, it was good to know everybody [and that meant Filzah, Mardiana, Mahathir, Sarah and Bibi] whom I have been out of touch with for so long, is actually doing well.

Anyhow, I got to interview DJs Roger Sanchez and Steve Lawler today. Two interviews, both of which assigned to be 1.5 hours before the the interview. And 1.5 hours before the interview, I was still snuggled comfortably under my covers. Tsk.

After the interviews [for which I had to make international calls to UK and Vietnam], I've officially decided that I hate phone interviews. Too much fucken stress.

Oh. I got my hair braided in Thailand as well, not only because everybody else was doing it but because I've always wanted to get it done and because it was dirt cheap. Since I've also realised that even with braids, I don't look anything remotely like Alicia Keys, I took four entire hours to take them [all 77 braids] off this morning and scared the freaking fuck outta myself when I ended up with weirdo post-braided hair.

Now it's time to puff up my hair ala Beyonce and convince Jeremy he should give up his throne as the reigning Singapore's answer to Beyonce to me.

Pfooi. Got transcripts to do, ya'll. Ciao.
